In 1994, Reman Industries opened with 12
employees in a 23,000 square foot building in Elk Grove Village,
Illinois, providing high quality rebuilt automatic transmission
parts to the automotive aftermarket. Reman’s employees gained
experience in the remanufacturing field while employed at Chicago
Transmission Parts. When Reman first opened its doors, its
employees already had over 20 years of rebuilding experience.
By 1998 Reman had increased to 27 employees and moved its
facilities to a 44,000 square foot building. Reman began
rebuilding torque converters in an effort to offer Reman customers
a full line of remanufactured automatic transmission components.
In 2000 Reman opened Tek Pro Converters in a 47,000 square foot
building in Elk Grove Village. With a combined total of over 90
employees, Reman and Tek Pro continued to grow.
In 2003 with over 120 employees, Reman and Tek Pro merged under
one roof opening in a new 115,000 square foot facility in Elk
Grove Village. Today, Reman continues to offer the automatic
transmission industry the highest quality remanufactured hard
parts and torque converters available.
Looking towards the future, Reman’s goals are to maintain the high
standards it has set for all its remanufactured products and to
continue to increase its market share. Reman Industries
